State-of-the-Art Integrated Treatment Center

Our Services

Autistic spectrum disorders arise from a bio-neurological condition, which is a weakness of a child’s biochemical and neurological development.  At The CIIT Center, we practice functional medicine by looking for underlying problems in the nervous system and metabolism.  We try to identify what conditions are causing symptoms that a child with autism exhibits.

The CIIT Center’s mission is to approach the autistic child as a total entity by enhancing the biomedical, nutritional, neurological, electrical and immune system to improve the child’s and the family’s quality of life.

The CIIT Center does this all under one roof!

We all need a place to start our journey.  If you have a child with autism, this is where your journey should begin.

The CIIT Center will take your child through a journey of innovative treatments that will address the underlining condition, not just the symptoms.  World-class doctors at The CIIT Center will work through an integrated process of diagnostic methods that will maximize the successful progress of your child’s health.  This is a journey you want to take.

Learn About Problems In Children With Autism

What really makes The CIIT Center unique and special is that each child will receive our proprietary Neuro-Enhancement Therapies designed to evaluate and treat the medically-identified causative and contributory factors that lead to autism.

Medical research proves that the following are considered significant problems in children with autism:

  • Mitochondrial Dysfunction
  • Immune System Dysregulation
  • Sensory Integration Dysfunction
  • Gastrointestinal Problems
  • Methylation Defects
  • Stealth Viral Infection
  • Excess Toxicity

Autistic spectrum disorders arise from a bio-neurological condition, which is a weakness in a child’s biochemical and neurological development.  They seem to go hand-in-hand and both need to be evaluated for and treated as early as possible.  All children with autism have these weaknesses in varying degrees.

This is why each child that is treated at the CIIT Center will get a complete physical examination with extensive blood work, urine and stool testing and other diagnostic tests and will begin a medical protocol second to none.   This “complete child approach” is what sets CIIT Center apart from everyone else and allows us to achieve maximal function with each child.

    • Occupational therapy can help kids and adults with various needs improve their cognitive, physical, sensory and motor skills and enhance their self esteem and sense of accomplishment.
  • Speech and Language Therapy
    • A treatment that provides support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication, or with eating, drinking and swallowing.
  • Sensory Integration Therapy
    • Sensory integration therapy is a process where a specialized therapist uses sensory and motor exercises and stimulation to enhance sensory function in children and adults.
  • Biomedical Treatments
  • Chiropractic Care
    • Chiropractic neurologists fill a unique role for their patients and only several hundred exist in the country.  They treat the brain and nervous system disorders using safe and effective methods.  We approach the body as a whole and are part of an overall wellness program.
  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
    • This is where 100% pure oxygen is pressurized in a chamber to treat certain conditions and improve overall health.  It is a way to promote blood to carry oxygen to your organs and tissues.
  • Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
    • Process of systematically applying interventions based upon the principles of learning theory to improve socially significant behaviors.
  • Nutritional Counseling
    • This is a process of first understanding where the patient currently is with their lifestyle and dietary habits and then getting to the root of the patient’s health condition. Then it is the ongoing process of identifying areas where one’s diet needs to change in order to achieve a better balance of nutrients.
  • Traditional Medicine
    • The science and practice of the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.  Our approach is integrative and is founded on prevention and healing.
  • Functional Medical Therapy
    • Treatments that focus on optimal functioning of the whole body.  It usually involves systems of holistic or integrative medicine.  Functional medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease and symptoms.   It is a systems-oriented approach and engages both patient and practitioner in a process where the patient is treated as a whole person and not just a set of symptoms.
  • Functional Neurological Therapy
    • Traditional neurology focuses on diagnosing a neurological disorder and then using surgery or medicine to manage the disorder.  This approach generally manages the symptoms.  Functional neurology looks for the core problems within the nervous system and treats each individual with a unique, non-invasive approach.  Functional neurologists use various tests such as VNG testing (eye movement), balance testing and neurocognitive exams to help identify where the dysfunction is coming from.
  • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
    • TMS is the latest FDA cleared therapy for brain disorders such as depression.  It uses precisely targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate key areas of the brain. This is a non-invasive procedure to improve symptoms of depression.
  • IV Therapies
    • Intravenous Therapies are the infusion of natural compounds, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and healthy fats and detox agents directly into the body.  If a patient is deficient in nutrients or is dehydrated, IV therapies will provide them with the necessary nutrients.  Also, chelation is the removal of heavy metals from the blood.

Thyroid Condition/Hashimoto’s Treatments

  • Thyroid conditions are not only common, they are misunderstood. Many currently taking medication still have
symptoms.  If you’ve been diagnosed with a thyroid condition or hypothyroid, or Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, realize that
there are things that can be done to help you!  The key is you need to be tested thoroughly at our center.

Neuro Feedback Therapy

  • Neuro Feedback is a type of biofeedback that uses real-time displays of brain activity to teach self-regulation of brain function.  The brain learns to function more efficiently.

Sensory Integration Therapy

  • A process where the therapist uses sensory and motor exercises and stimulation to enhance sensory function in children with autism spectrum disorder or anyone with a sensory processing disorder.

Nutraceutical Treatment

  • Many patients suffer from symptoms due to a deficiency of nutrients. The CIIT doctors provide not only an array of nutraceuticals, but also nutritional counseling.

The focus of The CIIT Center is to identify physiological problems that exist in the body which create symptoms in patients.  A treatment strategy is created which is directed at these underlying mechanisms, rather than focusing on the symptoms.  This is accomplished through careful examination and specialized testing.  Once these patterns are identified, various rehabilitative, dietary, lifestyle and nutritional recommendations are made.

Our services for those with traumatic brain injury, cognitive illnesses, autism, age-related cognitive disorders and more, The CIIT Center offers extensive, non-evasive testing and treatments.  At the CIIT Center, it’s all about optimal medical care and overall comfort in one facility:

Comprehensive medical care

  • The CIIT Center’s team of doctors and therapists will conduct numerous testing and treatments that will identify the underlining source of a condition and not just the symptoms that a patient suffers from.

Diagnostic testing

Here is just a few of the many diagnostic tests that are performed at the CIIT Center:

  • Electrocardiogram Testing (EKG) – Checks for problems with the electrical activity of the heart
  • Holter Monitoring – Records the rhythm of the heart continuously, typically for 24-48 hours.
  • Video Nystagmography Testing (VNG) – This tests evaluates the way the eyes respond to information through movement and how they work with the patient’s balance.
  • Balance Testing – This test evaluates a patient’s stability and ability to stand up against gravity.
  • Brain Mapping QEEG – A special test of the brain that looks for areas of weakness and maps them for targeted therapy.
  • Neurocognitive Exams – A physically non-evasive test which evaluates a patient’s cognitive status by specific neurologic domains such as memory, motor skills, emotion and more.

By identifying the unique characteristics within the brain’s electromagnetic and biochemical environment, the doctors at the CIIT Center can identify and measure neuromarkers.  Specific interventions and treatments are then applied in an effort to facilitate and guide neuroplasticity (brain changes).  The neuro modulation procedures are referred to as neurotherapies.
